Ran out of fuel on SZR - anyone know a quick fuel delivery service?
Quote from nickmadison on August 3, 2026, 1:14 pmI had a proper nightmare on my way home from work yesterday. I was on Sheikh Zayed Road and my fuel light came on, but I thought I could make it to the next station. Big mistake. The car spluttered to a halt just before the exit, and there I was, stuck in the middle lane with my hazards on, feeling like a complete idiot. I called a friend who told me about on-demand fuel delivery apps that come to you, which I'd heard of but never used. He said they can usually reach you within 15 to 20 minutes, even on the highway, as long as it's safe for them to stop . A quick fuel delivery service in Dubai like that would have saved me so much stress and a hefty fine for stopping on the road . Has anyone else had to use one of these services in an emergency? I'm definitely downloading the app now just to be prepared, because that was a situation I never want to repeat.
