What are the best growing conditions for a tulip tree?

Tulip trees thrive in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil with consistent moisture. They grow best in USDA hardiness zones 4–9 and prefer slightly acidic soil. Choose a location with plenty of space because mature tulip trees can reach 70–100 feet tall with a wide canopy. Water young trees regularly until established, and apply mulch around the base to help retain soil moisture and regulate temperature.
